Events

Back in 2020, I started a folder called "2020 hellworld collection", because there was so much weird stuff happening that year in quarantine. I've kept doing this, and thus amassed an archive of Internet Events. There's a huge variety of stuff in my events folders, and I've always loved reading stories about weird, obscure events that I wouldn't have heard of otherwise… so why not share them? There's so many weird internet events that can so easily fade into a shared, blurry memory, especially since Twitter is awful for saving or archiving anything.

A few notes: One, a lot of these are Twitter screenshots, because I've spent a lot of time on Twitter. There will be more swearing and NSFW language than I would otherwise put on this site, so if you don't want to see that kind of thing for whatever reason, steer clear from these pages. It's mostly swearing, but if there's a notable amount of NSFW text, there will be a warning about that.

The concept of the "hellworld collection" was to, mostly, keep track of funny and weird events, but even then, it's not uncommon for these events to relate to sensitive topics. I don't want any of these pages to get too heavy. I'll put a warning if an event dips into topics like transphobia or racism. And don't worry about me writing these off or anything, I am a leftist, I'm trans myself. I know that's my own primary worry when finding random people on the internet talking about things relating to minorities.

Technically, this is way more than just an events page, but I think it deserves a place on here anyway. My experience with Blaseball, a wonderfully bizarre web-based baseball simulator.

A very silly night on Twitter that revolved around two pictures of fish. This is a legendary event, to me.
